This solvent sticks all normal model making plastics, i.e. perspex, ABS, butyrate, styrene, acrylic etc. It has a long shelf life, is fast acting (grabs in seconds), and has a water-like consistency so it is best used by holding or clamping the surfaces together and running a loaded brush or applicator along the length of the joint (solvent will be drawn into the joint by capillary action). A second application can be made if required, but is not normally necessary.

When joining dissimilar plastics, i.e. styrene to butyrate, the hardest material (in this case butyrate) should have the joint surface softened, by giving a light coat of solvent, prior to holding the surfaces together. Then proceed as normal.

The best method of application is via syringe, various sizes of applicator syringe can be purchased here.

Plastic Weld should be used in a well ventilated area and contact with skin or eyes should be avoided (wash well with water if this occurs). We recommend wearing appropriate PPE such as protective eye goggles, gloves and a respirator mask for optimum safety.

Please note: This cannot be shipped outside the UK

Shipping is charged by size and weight, price options will be calculated at check out.

UK shipping starts from just £5.35 for small parcels.

If you are purchasing internationally please contact us for a quote as international shipping will vary.

If you would like to arrange your own courier or collect yourself, please select 'collection' at check out and we will email you the weight and dimensions of your parcel after it is packed up so you may arrange that.

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes when your order arrives. This is the responsibility of the customer. We are not able to advise on this so please get in touch with your accountant or the correct government department in your cointry for more information if required.

How long will my order take to arrive?
This will depend on the items ordered and availability of the laser cutter. Please allow time for personalised work to be completed on top of delivery times, if you are on a deadline, please let us know as we can usually accommodate rush orders.

Generally speaking custom UV printing or laser cutting orders ship within 5-7 working days, and non-customised orders (eg sheet materials) ship the same or next business day. However these estimates can be extended during busy times, or for larger or more complex orders. If you have a strict deadline please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate, we can often manage a same or next day rush service if required.

Any delivery date is given in good faith but is an estimate only and time shall not be of the essence.
